CVC members volunteer each summer at the East Madison Community Center (EMCC), teaching children how to safely ride their bikes, and encouraging them to participate in cycling related activities as part of a fun and healthy lifestyle.

Dino of Headhunters has joined the CVC effort at East Madison Community Center bringing along his monkey bikes, which are always a huge hit with the kids.

CVC members also contribute to the community through such fund raising efforts as the 330 mile Wisconsin AIDS Ride, ACT 6 to benefit the Aids Network, the MS150 Bike Tour to combat Multiple Sclerosis, the ICHS Quadrupedal Century to raise money for the Iowa County Humane Society, Bike the Barns to raise money for Madison Area Community Supported Agriculture Coalition (MACSAC), and Bike for Wisconsin, an annual fundraiser for the Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin. CVC members also volunteer at aid stations at the MS150 Bike Tour, Ironman Wisconsin, and help repair bicycles at the annual Wheels for Winners Wrench-a-Thon.
